In order to encourage and support students with limited means, SOIL offers below-mentioned Scholarships to deserving students.

1) Need-Based Scholarships

Grant Amount - 2.5-4 lakhs

Total Seats - 8

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with family income (excluding applicant's income) of less than INR. 5 lakhs per annum

2) Merit-Based Scholarships

Grant Amount - 2.5-6 lakhs

Total Seats - 11

Eligibility Criteria

- Exceptional Students with a proven track record in academics. Total Weighted Avg* between 82 to 90

- Students Working with Govt. organizations/PSU (GET or above cadre)

- Extracurricular activities- Winner at National or International Levels

*Weighted Avg formula: [10th*0.25 + 12th*0.25 + Graduation*0.5] all scores should be converted to a scale of 100 before applying the formula

3) Capt. Vikram Batra Scholarships for Defense

Grant Amount - 2-4 lakhs

Total Seats - 5

Eligibility Criteria

Students from the Armed Forces, Students whose parents have served in the Defence Services of India

4) Outstanding Work in NGOs/Teach for India/AIESEC Scholarships

Grant Amount - 1-2 lakhs

Total Seats - 4

Eligibility Criteria

Students who are a full-time employee of any Registered NGO or Non-profit Organisations working in social space from last one year or more

5) Women in Leadership Scholarships

Grant Amount - 2 lakhs

Total Seats - 4

Eligibility Criteria

Women who have done exceptional work in leadership roles for an organization.

6) Earn while you Learn (Research Assistantship)

Grant Amount - 10000 per month

Total Seats - 10

Eligibility Criteria

Selection will be based on the performance during PI and SOP Submitted.


1) Students who are granted scholarships have to work for 5 hours in a week as Research Assistant 

2) The amount of scholarship given to the student depends solely with the Scholarship Committee.
