A Professor of Marketing in the College of Business, Ohio University, Ohio, Ashok's research, teaching & consulting interests focus on management of innovation & new product development process. Prior to teaching, he held executive & shop floor positions in industry in India with Telco, Jamshedpur and NTPC, New Delhi.
In 1990 he served as German Industry Professor at the University of Kiel, Germany. He was selected for the Fulbright Senior Scholar award for India for 1993-94. In 1995, he served as United Nations Development Program consultant to All India Management Association. In 2002, as a Rotary's Ambassadorial Scholar to India he taught a course on Marketing of High-Technology Products. He is Editor-in-Chief of American Journal of Business and on the Editorial Boards of several journals. Dr. Gupta received B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, PGDBM from XLRI Jamshedpur and MBA and Ph.D. degrees in Marketing and Innovation Management from Syracuse University, New York.

Dr. Karl-Erik Sveiby is often described as one of the "founding fathers" of
Knowledge Management, having pioneered several of the fundamental concepts.

knowledge management in both research and practice. His book published 1990

William H. Davidson (Bill) started his career in academia. Before his
extra-curricular activities prevailed, he served as a tenured Professor of
Management at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern
California, from 1985 to 1998. He was also Research Director for the Harvard
Multinational Enterprise Research Project at Harvard Business School. He
was acknowledged as the most widely cited academic in the field of
international management during the 1985-1995 decade. His book 2020 Vision
(with Stan Davis) was selected as the Best Business Book of the year by
Fortune Magazine in 1992. He has written seven other books on management,
including The Amazing Race. His latest book, Breakthrough, was published by
John Wiley Press in 2004. He is currently completing a new book entitled
GREAT CHINA, co-authored with Wei Zhong Ding.
Bill was a founding faculty member of the Kokusai Daigaku, a joint US-
Japanese international management education university in Japan, and also of
the Dalian Institute in Dalian China, the first executive education
institute in China, co-sponsored by the US and Chinese governments.
In 1984, Bill founded MESA Inc., a management consulting firm acquired by
Deloitte & Touche in 1996. As a national partner at Deloitte, Bill had
leadership responsibilities in its management consulting practice during
1996-98. After leaving Deloitte, Bill founded a new company, MESA
Development, to focus on global strategy and leadership development. MESA's
clients have included over half of the Fortune 100. MESA also conducts the

Kingshuk K. Sinha is the Curtis L. Carlson Family Foundation Professor of
Management Science and the Director of the Joseph M. Juran Center for
Leadership in Quality at the Carlson School of Management, University of
Minnesota.
Dr. Sinha's scholarly interests lie at the intersections of management of
technology, quality management, operations strategy and supply chain
management. He has taught courses covering these topics in the MBA,
Executive MBA, International Executive MBA, and Ph.D. Programs. He conducts
his research projects in partnership with industries. High-tech, health
care/medical, retail, food, energy/oil and gas industries have served as the
empirical settings for his research. Dr. Sinha's papers have appeared in top
academic journals. The recent recognitions he has received include the 2005
Decision Sciences journal's Best Paper Award and the 2006 IBM Best Paper
Award from the Production and Operations Management Society.
Dr. Sinha serves as the Senior Editor of the Production and Operations

Dr. Sinha joined the Carlson School of Management in 1991 after receiving a
Ph.D. in management and MS degree in engineering from The University of
Texas at Austin. He received his B.Tech degree in petroleum engineering from
the Indian School of Mines.

A Ph.D from SUNY at Stonybrook in Economics, Dr. Avner is a Professor at the Center for Human Resources and Labour Studies. His research interests are in the area of Organization design and Behavioral Economics. For almost three decades he has held various positions at the Carlson Business School, University of Minnesota. He is also a visiting faculty at Central European University at Budapest. Listed in the Who’s Who in Economics (Edward Elgar, Third Edition, 1999), this distinguished professor has been a speaker at many international conferences and a recipient of many awards and grants for his research and teaching accomplishments. Dr. Avner started his distinguished career with the President’s award for excellence in teaching, even as a graduate student in 1980.
After completing her Masters in History from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi,
and a Masters in Science in Continuing Education with emphasis on Special
education, from the University of Southern Connecticut, USA, Lushin Dubey
taught mentally challenged children for several years in the U.S and India.
In 1987, Lushin co-founded KidsWorld, which pioneered youth theatre in India
and has staged over 30 productions in English and Hindi. She was also
instrumental in setting up United Players Guild in 1995, focused on
Shakespeare, whose 1997 production of Othello, with her in the lead role of
Desdemona, won the Edinburgh Fringe First. In 2008 she played Lady Macbeth
in Macbeth directed by Alyque Padamsee. Her two solos Untitled (on women
empowerment) and Bitter Chocolate (on child sexual abuse) , directed by
Arvind Gaur, and her recent production Muskaan ( a journey of two people
living with HIV) have been staged across cities in India and venues abroad
such as the World Bank, Smithsonian, Berkeley, Harvard, Stanford (USA), and
Nehru Centre (UK). Lushin has acted the lead in several TV serials and films
and was awarded the 2008 Gemini Award in Toronto, Canada for her role in
the film Murder Unveiled. In 2009 she received two awards from Chief
Minister Shiela Dixit: The Senior Journalists' Award for Best Stage Actress
- National, and the Radha Raman Foundation Award for Outstanding Commitment
to Theatre. She was also recipient of the 2009 Karmaveer Puraskar for
socially meaningful theatre by the Indian Confederation of NGOs. She is
currently involved in staging, 'Salaam India', directed by her and inspired
by the diplomat, Pavan Varma's best seller, 'Being Indian', in cities in
India and overseas. This production speaks about the Indian today keeping
pace with the globalised world, without shedding its traditions of the past.
Renu Mattoo has taught Organization Behavior to post graduate management students at XLRI, Jamshedpur for nearly 16 years. In addition to her teaching responsibilities she was also faculty head for placement. She is a column contributor on `Business Etiquette’ to India’s premier HR journal, `Human Capital’. After having presented papers at Indian and International seminar, she is currently giving her final touches to her book on Personal Effectiveness. Renu has graduated in English (Hons.) from Delhi University, and a Post Graduate from XLRI, Jamshedpur and her expertise lies in the areas of Global Business Etiquette and Presentation and Communication Skills.
Dr. Gary brings broad experience in executive education, large-scale organization development and the design of high performance program and product teams. He has designed and implemented comprehensive learning architectures for several Fortune 100 companies. Prior to launching his own firm, Dr. Gary was a Partner with New York-based Mercer Delta Consulting, serving clients throughout the world with organization design, business transformation, leadership development and coaching. Prior to joining Mercer Delta, he served as Vice President and Chief Learning Officer of The Home Depot, prior to which he was Chief Learning Officer of Lucent Technologies. He also served as Vice President of Organization Effectiveness for Cisco Systems and as Chief Learning Officer for the joint venture of Royal Dutch Shell where he designed the company's learning system and knowledge management activities, managed an organizational effectiveness consulting practice, and designed the "Leadership Laboratory for Competing in the New Economy." Dr. Gary spent 11 years with the Boeing Company in Seattle, culminating in his appointment as Vice President of Organization and Executive Development. He received his MA and PhD in Organizational Behavior from Yale University and his BS in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Svjetlana Madzar, PhD is a Senior Lecturer in the Strategic Management and Organization department at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and focuses on High Performance Organizations.
She teaches International Management and Management of Groups courses in the MBA and executive MBA programs. She leads the virtual team project in the Global Executive MBA program and also teaches in this program in Warsaw, Poland. Prior to joining CSOM, she was an associate professor at Gustavus Adolphus College. Svjetlana has worked with a variety of multinational corporations on issues related to managing across cultures and has held visiting appointments in MBA and executive programs at European business schools such as HEC (France) and Instituto de Empresa (Spain). She recently taught in Fortune Institute of International Business in Delhi, India. Her research focuses on subordinate information seeking behavior in cross-cultural contexts. She is a recipient of a 2002-2004 National Science Foundation grant which allowed her to study the differences between US, Italian, Spanish, French, and British subordinate information seeking patterns of employees working for a large U.S.-based multinational company. Svjetlana earned her doctoral and master degrees from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Academy of Management and Academy of International Business.
Arun Maira is a thought leader and writer on the subjects of transformational change and leadership. He is a frequent speaker at international forums on the future of India. Ratna is a senior Communications and HR professional with 15 years of experience in diversified international companies. Ratna is also a visiting professor at IIM-Indore and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. Her areas of focus are Employee communication and Corporate communication, Employee engagement and Human Resource processes and administration.
She has worked at senior levels of responsibility in several industry verticals, including Business Process Outsourcing (Quatrro), International Trade & Manufacturing (Apollo), Telecommunications (Bharti), Hospitality (Hyatt), Consulting (PwC) and FMCG (Pepsi).
Her academic record is outstanding, with a Masters degree from the London School of Economics & Political Science (UK), an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (New Delhi) and an honors degree in English Literature from St. Stephen's College (New Delhi).She is also a Sloan Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(USA).
In a teaching career spanning 17 years, Amrita has taught students of all ages, and across several educational systems, and now combines her love for teaching and for theatre in ways that are meaningful to students and herself. She has been teaching theatre at the Shri Ram School and The National Open School. She also teaches a Practicum Course in “Drama In Exploration” at the University of Delhi to students of the Bachelor’s in Elementary Education Programme.
She has been organizing workshops for students in various aspects of Theatre Production with the ultimate objective that some among them will be inspired to do it on their own for school as well as for other events. She has also worked on a film project with a documentary film maker, Ein Lal, under the auspices of INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage). This is one of many films that are being made for schools with the objective of sensitizing young people to different cultures that exist in India.
Amrita Lalljee uses Drama as a medium to work with students with special needs in the areas of confidence building, stress relief, team building and self acceptance and empowerement for the past three years.
Amrita has been trained in, and delivered 32 sessions of a devised piece in Theatre-In-Education to Primary Schools in Leeds in England in 2002. The piece was part of their curriculum and was based on George Elliot's Silas Marner.
She has graduated as a B.A. (Hons) in Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi. She has also submitted a dissertation on “A comparative study on creativity in children from Formal / Traditional schools and Non-formal / Open schools”.
Raavi Birbal is a practicing advocate and her area of interest and specialization is labour law and service law and its application.
She has taken lectures in Labour Laws for New York State Bar Association, multinationals, public sectors and other organizations. When not busy with her practice she does opinion, consultation and compliances work for companies in the private and public sector.
Over the years she has worked in Courts of Delhi on issues such as Labour & Service Law, Arbitration
Company Law, Trade Marks, IPR. She has an impressive list of clients she has represented in courts or provided Legal Consultation for such as Nestle, Bennett Coleman & co., Hindustan Times, Press Trust of India and Airtel. She has studied Labour law and Industrial Law from NILEM, Chennai.
Kalpana Sinha is Director People and Organization Capability at the India Development Center and will be conducting the course on Talent Management. The IDC is the largest Global R & D center for Microsoft outside of Redmond USA, that focuses on end to end software product development. Prior to the IDC, Kalpana supported MS Asia Pac’s Sales and Marketing Business based in Singapore. She has over 18 years of experience in the areas of corporate consulting and entrepreneurial experience in the application of behavioral sciences to organizations. This includes leadership development, mentoring and coaching, establishment of corporate universities, large-scale organization development interventions and training delivery in over a dozen countries. In addition, she is an accomplished water color artist and has several international shows to her credit. Kalpana also has a publication to her credit – a book on Women’s Empowerment in South Asia.
Dr. Shailendra Pratap Jain (Shelly) is currently Associate Professor of
Marketing at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business.
Earlier, he held faculty positions at Indiana University's Kelley School,
Cornell University's Johnson School, and University of Rochester's Simon
School. Shelly has had extensive consulting experience globally with leading
organizations such as 3M, Kodak, Ingersoll Rand, Ogilvy & Mather, Philip
Morris, and Xerox on various marketing topics (Brand Management, Customer
Analysis, Competitive Analysis, Product Line Management, and Marketing
Strategy).
Shelly has been a recipient of a "four star" rating in the Business Week's
Guide to the Best Business Schools, and has several Honors and Awards to his
name including the PACCAR Award for Teaching Excellence at University of
Washington's Foster School of Business, and multiple MBA Teaching Excellence
Awards at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business as well as
University of Rochester's Simon School of Business. Prior to joining
academia, he worked in Advertising, Brand Management, and Sales for six
years in different firms in India.
Shelly's research interests include branding, comparative advertising,
consumer behavior and marketing strategy, cross-cultural and other
individual differences in thought and consumption, and economics of
information. His research has been published in several leading journals
including Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology,
Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Experimental Psychology, Journal of
Applied Social Psychology, Journal of Economic Psychology, and Marketing
Letters. Shelly is on the editorial board of Journal of Consumer Psychology,
and has co-chaired the Society for Consumer Psychology Conference in 2009
and American Psychological Association's Division 23 Conference in 2005.
Dr. Shailendra Pratap Jain (Shelly) received his Ph. D. in 1995 from New
York University's Stern School after finishing his M Phil from New York
University in 1992. Before that he completed his MBA from Indian Institute
of Management, Ahmedabad, India, in 1984 right after his graduation from BE,
Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India, (with honors) in
1982 .

Ganapathy Subramanian is the Director, Centre for Rural Information & Insights, Mahindra & Mahindra and has over 30 years experience in India and overseas in the areas of Marketing Research, Stakeholder Relationship Management as well as Marketing. He has worked on the supply and the user side of marketing research and is therefore uniquely placed to understand what is needed for effective deployment of market and customer intelligence as business decision support.
Over the years he has worked with Philips India, Gallup, Eicher, Pathfinders (Division of Lintas) and Mahindra & Mahindra. He was the also Regional Director for Nielsen (Central and East Europe). Mr. Subramanian is an alumnus of IIT Chennai and IIM Kolkata.
Sanjay currently undertakes assignments as a free lance consultant helping companies with various aspects of Human Resource interventions including program design, competency development, leadership assessment and development and soft skills training.

Shyam Viswanathan is an Electrical Engineer and an alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies of Delhi University.
As a consultant of long standing, Vijayalakshmi has trained and taught senior management of public and private sector organizations on leadership, strategy, communication, change management and instructional design and development. In addition she has been a visiting Faculty at the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.
Vijayalakshmi has around 25 years of experience in the fields of Marketing, Market Research and Executive Capability Development across organizations such as Asian Paints, Funskool (India), Mode Research and NIS Sparta Limited. Her experience includes marketing strategy development and implementation, marketing and social research, configuring training solutions, development and delivery of training programs for senior management.
At NIS Sparta, Vijayalakshmi was involved in the setting up of several new initiatives—the corporate training division, the insurance training division and the Corporate Research Centre of Instructional Design. She was also a member of the Executive Committee with profit center responsibilities, and Corporate Communications and Marketing.
Vijayalakshmi is an Engineer from College of Engineering Guindy and an MBA (gold medalist) from the Faculty of Management Studies of Delhi University. She also holds a Masters degree in Sociology from Annamalai University.
Debi Saini is currently a Professor of HRM at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
His research interest areas include: Strategic HRM, Diversity Management, Global HRM and New Industrial Relations. His consulting interest areas include: Strategic People Management, Employee Relations Strategies, Building a Joyful Organization, Change Management and Management of Contract Labour.
He started his academic career in 1971 as a Lecturer at Delhi College of Arts & Commerce, University of Delhi following which he served as a Professor (1992-94) at Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute, Ahmedabad. He has also been a Professor of HRM at the Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (IILM), New Delhi (1996-1999).
He has chaired over a 100 workshops and has been a keynote speaker at several academic and management conferences in India and abroad. He has authored several papers, management cases and book chapters published in India and abroad.
Among others, he has been awarded the Best Researcher of MDI, 2005 and the Best HR Faculty in India, 2007 from Amity International University. He has also been certified as a Global Professional in Human Resource (GPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), USA in May, 2008.
Before obtaining his doctoral degree from the University of Delhi, Debi Saini obtained a Master’s degree in Commerce from the Delhi School of Economics (1971) and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law from the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
Urmila Chowdhury is currently involved in various teacher training projects both in India and abroad.
In a teaching career spanning 20 years, she has worked as a teacher of English in some of the best schools in Kolkata and New Delhi. She has extensive experience in the training of teachers both in curriculum related areas and in the management of regular class room and student issues.
With her inherent interest in theatre as a medium of education, she has introduced Theatre in Education practices in the teaching of English at the Shri Ram School. She has also adapted the international concept of Writer’s Workshop to the Indian school environment, and today it is an established program in the Shri Ram School.
She completed her B.A. (Honours) in English Literature and Language and her M.A. in English Literature from Jadavpur University followed by a B.Ed from Kolkatta University. Urmila also has a Certification of English Language Teaching to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge.
Anil Sachdev is the Founder and CEO of the School of Inspired Leadership.
Anil has been adjunct Faculty to leading business schools such as Indian
School of Business, Kelly School of Business, Indiana University, GMI, Flint
Michigan, Antioch University, Seattle and Ohio University, Athens, Ohio.
Given his belief in the power of education, Anil decided to create SOIL- the
School of Inspired Leadership to provide management education with focus on
ethics, community partnerships, sustainability and other leadership aspects
that the world of today badly needs.
In April 1991, he had created Eicher Consultancy Services to work with large
global and local firms in areas of strategic change, operations improvement
and people development. During this time, Anil brought AT Kearney to India
and also formed a joint venture with Strategic Decisions Group, a Menlo
Park, California based Strategy Consulting firm, founded and led, mostly by
Stanford University faculty and alumni. After spending 10 years building

Nishchae Suri is the President of the School of Inspired Leadership. Prior
to taking charge as president in Oct 2008, Nishchae spent 11. 5 years at one
of the world's largest Human Resource and Consulting services firm
headquartered in USA. He was appointed as Global Principal in 2004 and
invited to join the firm's global leadership group.
Nishchae's consulting experiences span all aspects of human resources. He
has worked with leading global organizations across a number of countries
including India, China, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia,

Prasenjit Bhattacharya is the CEO, The Great Place to Work Institute, India.

Ghaziabad. He has been a visiting faculty at FMS, New Delhi. He has a B.
Tech in Mechanical Engineering from DCE, M S (Industrial Engineering), MBA
from USA. He has over 30 years experience working with the corporate world.
He was a General Manager with NIIT and has also headed a California based
software company prior to moving to academics. His research, teaching and
consulting interests lie in the area of IT strategy, Excel Based Modelling,
Business Transformation through Information Technology, Software Project

Hardayal Singh recently retired as Ombudsman to the Income-tax department,
Mumbai, a post he held since January,2007. Prior to that he held the
position of the Chief Commissioner of Income-tax, Mumbai and Delhi.
Prof. Singh has rich experience in direct taxation and has administered the
law, researched on it, formulated policies with regard to its
implementation, practiced it as departmental counsel and taught it both to
officers of the Indian Revenue Service and to MBA students at the Jamnalal
Bajaj Institute of management, Mumbai.
He has co-authored special chapters on the Vigilance Manual on vigilance
management in public sector banks and public sector undertakings. As
Director of Organisation and Management Services in the Central Board of
Direct Taxes, he further co-authored about 50 management studies on diverse
subjects.
Between 1974 and 1978 he pioneered management training in the income-tax
department. He has also written for the Times of India, Hindu, Economic and
Political weekly, Management in Government and others.
He has an M.A. in Political Science and an M.Sc in Fiscal Studies from the
University of Bath, U.K. with distinction. He has trained at the Royal
Institute of Public Administration, London(1982) and the Administrative

Arunav Banerjee is currently Executive Director of Rubicon Learning Systems
Private Limited. He has 15 years of consulting experience, & has worked with
firms such as Ernst & Young, Arthur Andersen, & PricewaterhouseCoopers. He
had also launched his own consulting firm Triple A Consulting. His areas of
expertise include Organisation Design & Structuring including banding for
several organisations across sectors. He has also developed his own job
evaluation methodology which has been tested across many companies including
Infosys.
Arunav also enjoys coaching & mentoring. He writes a column for the
Hindustan Times on career related discussions. He completed his Bachelors
degree from IIT Kharagpur and then did his Post Graduation in Behavioural
Sciences from IIM, Kolkata. He also has a degree in Law from Bangalore
University.
Prior to joining SOIL, Dr Vinita S. Sahay was a Professor of Marketing at IMT Ghaziabad. She is also a visiting Professor at Aarhus Business School, Aarhus University, Denmark. Prior to IMT, Dr. Sahay held the posts of Head of the Marketing Department, Chief Mentor of the organization and Member of Academic Advisory Council at Amity Business School, Noida. She was also a Faculty Member at ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon where she was HOD Marketing. In her previous assignments at ITS, she had been Chairperson of Post-Graduate Program in Management and Founder Editor of Synergy: ITS Journal of IT and Management. She has secured first class with high ranks through out her academic career. She did her PGDM with Marketing as a major concentration area. She secured a first class with a Gold Medal in M.A. in Economics and has done her Ph.D. on Customer Value
Dr. Sahay has about 17 years of experience in Industry and in teaching and training.
