The Placement Process at SOIL matches the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of its students. The various placements activities undertaken at SOIL are as described below:
- Internship Programs
As a compulsory part of curriculum, PGP-BL and PGP-HRL students are required to work with an organization for a period of one month at the end of their first term. The Summer Internship normally in from mid of August to mid of September.
In the past, our students have interned with companies such as Microsoft, Amul, Genpact, Yes Bank, Tata Steel, Volvo Eicher, MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo, Digitas LBI, IMRB, Bacardi, Gemini Solutions, Ogilvy, UrabnClab, Mahindra, L&T, Anand Group, E&Y, Raymond, SoftBank, Whirlpool, HDFC etc. Several of these companies tend to absorb the interns as full-time recruits post the completion of the students’ academic curriculum.
- Final Placements
This process is usually conducted in the month of November and sees an extensive participation from a number of Indian and Global organizations. SOIL also invites start-ups for this process, who offer wide-ranging niche and senior positions to our students.
The following procedure is adopted for both the processes:
Stage 1- Industry Interaction: Representatives of the companies interact with our students on SOIL campus through Guest Lectures, Live Projects, and other Corporate Forums.
Stage 2- Profiles: Student profiles and other relevant details are shared with companies.
Stage 3- Pre Placement Talk: Various companies conduct Pre-Placement Talks thereby providing in-depth information about the roles and profiles/projects being offered.
Stage 4- Resumes: Applications are invited from our students and resumes of interested applicants are shared with the companies.
Stage 5- Shortlisting: Basis factors such as profiles, locations, remuneration offered, student’s perceptions and areas of interest, companies are ranked and are invited on campus to conduct face to face interviews.
Stage 6- Interviews: Companies conduct their own selection process which typically involves CV based short listing, group discussions, written ability test, aptitude test and interviews.
Stage 7- Offer: Final results are announced by the companies and are conveyed to the students.
