b.    Need-based Scholarship: Once you have been selected into the program, you can apply for scholarship by writing to admissions@soilindia.net. The Admissions team will send you a form that you will be required to complete and send back along with documented proof of your Annual Family Income. For students meeting the eligibility criteria with regard to their Annual Family Income, SOIL shall be happy to provide a waiver on a part of their fee, which can be from 20% to 100%.

c.     Merit Scholarship / Research Assistantship: Students who have records of exceptional academic performance, extra curricular activities, & community service are eligible for a Research Assistantship. In addition to this, they are expected to excel in the Admission Process. The student is expected to work as part of the SOIL management for a minimum of 5 hours a week during the course for which they will be paid a stipend which is typically 25% of the course fee.

Candidates will need to display evidence of a genuine financial need in order to avail of any Financial Aid. For the Research Assistantship, candidates who have a financial need will have the first preference.

As the pool of Financial Aid available is limited, candidates interested in availing Financial Aid are advised to apply to SOIL early. Financial Aid Applications will be processed on a first come first serve basis.

The process for applying for a Research Assistantship and a Scholarship is the same. The candidate needs to email the Admissions Office once they have been made an admission offer expressing their interest in applying for a Scholarship. They will then be emailed the Scholarship form which they will need to submit along with copies of their marksheets & merit certificates in addition to documentation of annual family income (Salary slips, IT Returns, Bank Statements etc.).
