Ashutosh is the founder Partner of PROACT Management Consulting. With over 14 years of line and consulting experience, he has been instrumental in several “Transformation” initiatives in a wide spectrum of industries. He has a background in implementation of “Total Quality” Programmes, Six Sigma projects and Business Process Re-engineering initiatives.
He was part of one of the pioneering efforts in the Indian consulting arena pertaining to “Service Quality”. He was instrumental in establishing “Service Quality” as a consulting practice by successfully developing a version of “Service Strategy Deployment” customised to the Indian context. Tested at few of his clients the methodology has been tested and proven successful. This aims at creating a well defined Service Strategy for a Service Organisation and implementing it to achieve Tangible, Measurable, Time-bound business goals that are owned up and well accepted at all levels in the organisation.
Some of the clients he has worked for include: American Express – FC (East), American Express TRS (India), GE Capital International Services, ICICIOnesource, Tata Telecom , Quark India, The World Bank-WSP(SA), Amway India Enterprises, British Gas, Shriram Industrial Enterprises, Perfetti India and Mother Dairy (Delhi & Calcutta).
He has a BE degree in Electrical Engineering, PG Diploma in Business Administration in the Area of Operations and Marketing Management. He is also a Certified Lead Assessor for ISO 9000 series of Quality Standards.
Dr. Kingshuk Sinha
Visiting Faculty, Operations and Supply Chain Management
Kingshuk is a Professor in the Operations and Management Science Department and the holder of the Curtis L. Carlson Family Foundation Professorship in Management Science at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. His degrees include a Ph.D. in Management and an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.Tech (Honors) in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian School of Mines. Before beginning his graduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin he worked for the offshore production and engineering planning groups of Dubai Petroleum Company (operated by Conoco Inc.) in United Arab Emirates.
His areas of scholarly interests are: Management of Technology, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management and Health Care Management. He teaches courses in the MBA, Executive MBA, International MBA, Ph.D., and undergraduate programs. Typically, Dr. Sinha conducts his research projects in partnership with industries. The empirical settings of his research projects have included the high-tech; health care/medical; retail; food; and energy/oil and gas industries. His papers have appeared in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Interfaces, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Service Research, Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Organization Science, and Production and Operations Management. Among the recognitions he has received include the Journal of Operations Management’s Best Paper Award, the Stan Hardy Award for the Best Published Paper in Operations Management, the Decision Sciences Institute’s Best Theoretical and Empirical Research Paper Award, the Decision Sciences journal’s Best Paper Award, and the IBM Best Paper Award from the Production and Operations Management Society.
He has served as the Director of the Joseph M. Juran Center for Leadership in Quality, committed to advancing research and education on improvement and innovation in manufacturing and service organizations, and supply chains. He has served as the Founding Academic Director of the Medical Industry Leadership Institute (MILI) that was established to advance management research and leadership education for the medical industry sector. He has served as the Ph.D. Program Coordinator and the MBA Program Coordinator for the Operations and Management Science Department. Dr. Sinha’s roles in professional societies have included serving as the Program Chair for the 2002 Annual Meeting of the Production and Operations Management Society in San Francisco (Conference Theme: “High Tech Production and Operations Management”) and as a Board Member and Secretary of the Society. He serves as a Senior Editor (Management of Technology) of the Production and Operations Management journal and served as the Guest Editor of the journal’s special issue on high tech industry; and as a Senior Editor of the Decision Sciences journal and served as the Guest Editor of the journal’s special issue on decision making in the health sector supply chain.

Ramesh is B.Tech (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering (1968) from IIT, Kharagpur, India and Masters in Industrial Management (1973) from Cranfield University, UK. He has worked for Eicher Group, India (manufacturing Commercial Vehicles, Motorcycles and Agricultural Tractors) at various senior levels for 25 years including as Group Vice Chairman, managing various businesses of the Group, Strategic Planning and Human Resources Development at the corporate level.
As Managing Director of Eicher Tractors, he has to his credit setting up of the new Engine and Tractor plant at Alwar and Bhopal in India. The Company was conferred the National Productivity Council of India’s award for high productivity and quality both for Engine and Tractor plants. As Managing Director of Ramon and Demm Ltd.,he turned around the sick Gear Manufacturing company( Ramon and Demm Ltd.) acquired by Eicher into a state of excellent financial and cultural health. This Company was also conferred the National Productivity Council of India’s award for high productivity and quality.
He started his professional career by working for about 10 years in Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., his last assignment being Senior Manager responsible for negotiations of technology transfer and project planning for production of Anglo French Jaguar Aircraft at Bangalore.Mr. Jain has been a Board Member/ Advisor to many Corporates and provided them with Strategic and Operational inputs.
He has recently been invited by the Planning Commission and Cabinet Secretariat to guide some of the Ministries of Government of India in preparation of their Strategic Plans for the next five years and also to review the Result Framework Documents of various Ministries and Departments of Government of India and various states. He was member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Council for years 2004-5 and 2005-6. He has been member NR Council, CII since 1997-8 till date.

Ravi introduced Theory of Constraints (TOC) in India and now focuses his efforts on increasing the wealth of his clients through a systematic application of Dr. Eli Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints in Operations Management. He is the first practicing ‘Jonah'(TOC Expert) in India and the founder of Goldratt, India and is personally trained by Dr. Goldratt. Ravi regularly disseminates his knowledge at a number of international conferences. He enjoys striving for the impossible by challenging sacred assumptions and complexity.
For over 34 years, Ravi’s industrial experience has evolved from a core in Manufacturing Engineering through to Total Quality Management and Business Process Re-engineering to the Theory of Constraints (TOC). Prior to founding Goldratt India, Ravi was Chief Consultant at Eicher Consultancy Services Limited. During his consulting career of over 14 years, Ravi has consulted for and with several global organizations, such as L&T, Godrej & Boyce, Salora International, RPG Cables, ABB, Alstom, Indian Aluminum, Dalmia Cement, ICI, Exide and Eicher. Before starting his consulting career, Ravi gained valuable experience for 21 years in operations in the automobile industry (TELCO & Eicher).
Assistant Professor, Operations Management
Shikha Aggarwal is Assistant Professor of Operations Management at School Of Inspired Leadership, Gurgaon. She completed her doctoral research at MDI Gurgaon in the area of Supply Chain Resilience. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., she did her masters in business administration from Punjab University. She has vast research experience including field interviews with experts across more than 50 organizations and development of modeling and measurement tools for supply chain practices; and has worked across a multitude of softwares. She has seven international publications to her credit which include a book chapter, conference proceedings, research paper in Thomson Reuters impact factor journal and teaching cases at leading case publishing houses like Harvard Business Publishing, Ivey Publishing etc. Her research interests are in the areas of supply chain collaboration, supply chain risk, supply chain resilience, supply chain disruption, case study research, grounded theory, and research design. She has taken various guest lectures for people across different age groups and nationalities. Her teaching interests include supply chain management, business logistics, operations strategy, service operations, research methodology and project management.
