People NEXT is a unique program based on an ‘Experiential Learning’ model, to ensure that high potential people managers are equipped to address the real world challenges that they face on a daily basis. This program is specifically aimed at nurturing the HR/People leaders and taking their expertise to a whole new level.
This program aims to build HR leaders with a strategic focus, strong business perspective and deep people connect. A first of its kind program, it has been co-created by the stalwarts of the industry to develop the NEXT Generation of People Leaders. The program combines the rigor of conceptual frameworks with practical wisdom and is a unique platform for HR leaders to learn from their accumulated wisdom.
The program aims to help the participants build knowledge and skills while also equipping them with tools and methodologies designed to provide HR solutions from a practitioner’s perspective.

- One-on-one Coaching
An industry veteran facilitates personalized coaching for every participant. The coach works with the individual and helps her/him create and work on her/his individual development plan to enable PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION.
- Action Learning Project
Each participant works on a project to SOLVE A REAL-TIME ORGANIZATION PROBLEM which enables her/him to IMPLEMENT CLASSROOM LEARNING. The project is identified jointly by the participant and his supervisor in consultation with the program faculty.
- Holistic Classroom Learning
Courses such as Leading Self, Building the Employer Brand, Leveraging Diversity and Inclusion, Building a Culture of Coaching and Mentoring etc. builds HOLISTIC MINDSET of the participants.
- Leadership Series
This is a special part of the program for participants to interact with and learn from senior industry leaders to ensure REAL TIME EXPERIENCE SHARING, learning and networking.

Alok has 42 years of industry experience in sectors like automotive, components and engineering. He has comprehensive experience in all aspects of business including manufacturing, sales and marketing, new market development and inorganic expansion. He acts as a strategic advisor to portfolio companies in this sector on all aspects of business.
Alok has worked for 25 years at Eicher Group, where he was responsible for various functional areas like procurement and management of materials, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, and group finance. His last assignment with Eicher Group was as the Managing Director of Eicher International. He had also served as the Vice President at Samtel India Limited.
He is currently on the Board of Minda Industries since October 29, 2009 . He was a Member of the Board of Directors of various Eicher Group companies including Eicher Goodearth Limited, Eicher Limited, Eicher Motors, and Royal Enfield Motorcycles.
He has been actively involved with Confederation of Indian industry and was Chairman of the Africa Committee for a period of three years and was a Member of Northern Region Council. Alok is a Cost Accountant & a Mechanical Engineer from IIT-Kharagpur.
Nilanjana (Nilu) Paul has 24 years of experience servicing global and domestic clients with IT, BPO, Consulting and Advisory offerings. Her expertise in outsourcing and off-shoring is as old as the Indian outsourcing industry. She has been a business leader in two sunrise industries that became successful in India – IT and BPO.
Since 2005, Nilu offers this expertise to global and domestic organizations looking for Advisory and Consulting services in outsourcing, off shoring, process design and strategy to vision and operations to strategy. She conducts business due diligence audits and process/situation audits pre/post investment and works on bootstrapping exercises post investment. Nilu is actively involved in senior leadership development and the related fields of Assessment and Executive Coaching.
Nilu spent many years in the BPO industry in India. The entrepreneurial bug in her was stoked in 2000 when she became a part of the core top management team of Spectramind – a company set up as a third-party offshore BPO company – a non-existent category in India till then. Nilu successfully led Business Development and Relationship Management at Spectramind and contributed to Spectramind reaching the top slot in India.
When Spectramind was acquired by Wipro Nilu became the Vice President, New Product Development for the BPO business. In her three years in this role, she developed new offerings in back-office areas as well integrated BPO and IT offerings for clients in North America, Europe and India. This meant defining and creating competencies, people capabilities, processes and systems and compliance capabilities in specific verticals and horizontals and completing the loop in terms of implementing for live clients. Nilu gained valuable insights of successful M&As during this stint – both from the perspective of an organization that had been acquired as well as from working on other potential acquisitions for Wipro.
Her first experience with outsourced services was in the IT industry. She joined NIIT, an IT Services organization, in 1987, when it was virtually a start-up. In her 13 years there, Nilu handled roles in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Quality and General Management for offerings in IT Consulting, Software Development, eLearning and online solutions for B2B clients. She designed and audited Quality Management Systems and was a Quality resource for three years before taking this experience into other functions and roles. She handled clients from India, Asia Pacific, North America, UK, Australia and Continental Europe. The “start-up” grew a thousand fold in revenue in ten years – another sign of the scorching pace and complexity of business witnessed during her stint at NIIT.
Nilu is a graduate in Physics who completed her Business Management from XLRI majoring in Finance and Marketing.
Sniggdha has over 25 years of industry experience in HR, Training, Assessment & Potential Development and Customer Support. She has played a key role in setting up HR function for SMEs. She has participated in specific HR interventions such as, Training need identification, Performance Management, Grade structure and Employee Engagement programs.
She has also developed content and facilitated trainings in the areas of a) Coaching, Mentoring & Counseling, for performance Enhancement, b) Professional Selling Skills, Key Account Management, c) Customer Care – Internal & External customers and d) Positive Attitude Development and Emotional Intelligence.
She has participated as an assessor for Assessment/Development Centers for organizations like Tata Group, Aditya Birla group and L& T for Senior & Middle Management.
She is also a certified counselor on: a) Rational Emotive Therapy and b) Carkhuff’s model. She has PG Credits in HR from Rutgers State University, New Jersey, USA. She has done MBA from National Productivity Council, New Delhi. Prior to that, she did BA (Hons) Psychology from Lady Shriram College, University of Delhi. She has also done a Diploma in Counseling from Mumbai University.
In her time away from work she writes short stories for Women’s Era and Champak – Children’s magazine.
Shailendra, with a career spanning over 40 years is currently, Director – Special Initiatives of the School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) at Gurgaon having varied responsibilities. He provides advisory support in Social Innovation Project, Consulting Projects besides handling the internal HR and Administration function.
He worked with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for about 32 years (1968 – 2000). NDDB conceived, planned and implemented Operation Flood, the world’s largest rural employment project. Shailendra was involved in various functional areas at NDDB holding varied responsibilities including Management Information Systems, Project Planning and Implementation, Personnel Management and Human Resource Development.
He was Executive Assistant to the Founder Chairman of NDDB Dr. V Kurien in mid-seventies. Shailendra headed the Human Resource Development / Manpower Development and Training function at NDDB during 1987 – 2000.
Shailendra worked as Chief Values officer of Grow Talent Company Limited since its inception in August 2000 till December 2007. Started by a group of like-minded business persons and professionals, Grow Talent Company Limited soon, became one of the top strategic HR consulting firms in India with offices in Gurgaon Mumbai, Bangalore and Colombo (Sri Lanka). Shailendra was Resident Director of Grow Talent Company Limited during July 2003 – October 2005.
Shailendra contributed to HR consulting projects of the Grow Talent Company Limited as relationship manager and senior Consultant on assignments cutting across industry verticals. Some of the long term (over a year) engagements of Grow Talent Company Limited in which he was a part included those with a large steel making company, auto Manufacturing Company, a conglomerate in Sri Lanka etc. The HR consulting projects he contributed were mostly in the area of Talent Assessment, Talent Engagement and Change Management.
Vivek Patwardhan began his career with Tata Electric Companies [now called Tata Power] and worked for a brief period with Herbertsons Ltd. He worked with Asian Paints for over thirty-three years and retired in May 2009. Since May 2009, he has worked as an independent OD consultant and Executive Coach with many MNCs and large organisations in Retail, Engineering and Chemicals industries.
At the beginning of his career, Vivek negotiated several productivity agreements, the first one in 1979. Vivek was subsequently responsible for industrial relations at the corporate level. In that capacity he had opportunity to study Industrial Relations in various states and some countries abroad. Vivek played a major role in developing healthy work ethic through workers’ education. In his role as Head of HR he helped create a work culture of coaching and development. He actively participated in promoting organisational values and particularly in the organisations acquired by Asian Paints after the year 2000. He represented HR at the highest level within the organisation, and was a member of the Executive Council.
He has travelled extensively. This has given him an opportunity to study HR and IR practices in several countries. In November 2006 Vivek was appointed as ‘TISCO Chair Professor of Industrial Relations’ at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai for a period of one year. In that capacity he has delivered lectures at Tata Institute of Social Sciences on various subjects in Human Resource management. Vivek organised study of and seminars on Reward management policies of various organisations. Vivek has been teaching the elective of ‘Conflict Management’ at Tata Institute of Social Sciences since 2007.
Vivek played active role in the leadership team that launched and promoted the Leadership Development and Talent Management Cluster of CII’s ‘India Inc. – Going Global’ program.
Vivek is a science Graduate from Bombay [Mumbai] University and he read for his Master’s degree in Labour Welfare at Bombay Labour Institute, now called Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies. Vivek has received training for coaching skills from Results Coaching Systems. Vivek also has obtained Belbin Team Role accreditation.
This program is ideally suited for High Potential, mid to senior level HR Managers or those Business Managers who have people responsibilities and have around 7-13 year’s of work experience.
