Imagine spending eight whole days at the Himalayas with friends. Add some element of fun, spirituality, gyan and some serious preparation for placements among other things. An invigorating potpourri isn’t it? That’s precisely what I am looking forward to experiencing at the trip to Sidhbari that has been planned as part of my learning curriculum at SOIL. With eight action-packed days that includes a course on appreciation by Anil Sir and people from academia also joining us on board, there certainly can’t be a better learning experience than this for us. Just that, the venue this time is Tapovan Ashram, Sidhbari instead of Sector 45, Gurgaon.
Like many other SOILings, I am eagerly looking forward to visiting CORD - Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development and knowing more about its activities. Though getting ourselves ready for placements is the primary agenda, having some fun is running in our minds too. I am a lover of nature and the scenic beauty of the Himalayas is bound to leave me spell bound. With Susie Ma’m joining us for the trip, I can’t wait to get back to those engaging Yoga sessions and keep my stress at bay. To sum up, an experience of a lifetime is what I am looking forward at Sidhbari. - Sreya Raghavan, HRLP2012
