Every student goes through an intense selection process. Every student who applies to SOIL takes the Caliper profile assessment as part of the selection process. Caliper is a comprehensive assessment which provides measures of your potential to demonstrate those competencies which are essential aspects of successful leadership and management - influencing, managing relationships, interpersonal skill, problem solving, decision making and personal organization and time management.
This is followed by a Talent Appreciation Process wherein the applicant is interviewed by leaders from the SOIL Industry Consortium. The focus of the selection procedure is to gauge multiple intelligences of the candidates. By following Industry standards of selection, the quality of talented students ready to take on roles in the corporate world is ensured. Throughout the duration of the program, each student will be assigned a mentor from the industry, who will help them shape their learning around their current and future business roles and around their personal and career goals. Through the program, classroom learning is supplemented by providing a set of experiences and explorations that will help one understand his strengths and develop into an effective leader. Students are exposed to cutting-edge thought and its applications, both in and out of the classroom, through a range of focused learning opportunities available through the school’s leading network with the corporate world.
